Bio(s):

Marco Antonio Suárez Cifuentes, composer, was born in Colombia. He studied music composition with Harold Vasquez, Michael Gatonska, Alba Triana and Guillermo Gaviria at the Javeriana University (Bogotá) where he obtained the Music Composition diploma with honours in 2001. From 2002 to 2006 he studied music composition with M. Emmanuel Nunes and electro-acoustic music composition with M. Luis Naón at the CNSMDP, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where he obtained the Diplôme de Formation Supérieur (DFS) in composition in 2006. In 2005 he worked with Michael Levinas, Bryan Ferneyhough et Jean-Luc Hervé in the "Voix Nouvelles" composition summer course of the Royaumont foundation. From 2006 to 2009 he worked with Robin Meier, Mikhail Malt, Emmanuel Jourdan, Jean Lochard et Yan Maresz. In the Cursus de Composition et informatique Musicale and the Formation spécialisée en composition recherche et nouvelles tecnologies at IRCAM, Paris. Within this context, in 2009 the Ensemble Intercontemporain, has first performed his project "Poetry for // dark - / dolls", for voice, ensemble and life electronics in two performance spaces. His music has been performed in South America, Europe by important groups as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain, the Ensemble Multilaterale, Vortex, Contemporanea, Contrechamps, le Balcon Onyx, Itinéraire l'Instant Donnée et Decibelio. He has been resident composer at the CMM (Multi Media Centre) of the CENART in México in 2003, the studio MIA in 2006, la Muse en Circuit in 2008, the GRAME in 2009&2010 and ArtZOYD in 2010. Marco Suárez Cifuentes music has been commissioned bythe IRCAM, the GRAME, and the French Ministry of Culture, the Colombian Ministry of Culture, the SACEM and the Royaumont Foundation. From 2008 to 2009 he worked with Myriam Gourfink as Referent Composer in the "Transforme" dance program of the Royaumont Foundation. Actually Marco Suárez Cifuentes is working with the choreographer Clémence Coconnier in the multimedia project "Plis". And collaborates as composer in the IMTR research team at IRCAM for the project MUBU with Norbert Schnell.

Norbert Schnell is born in Hamburg where he gets engaged in music composition and arrangement for theatre. From 1989 he studies telecommunications at the University of Technology and music with Georg-Friedrich Haas, Bernhard Lang and Gerd K ühr at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz/Austria. He becomes studio assistant at the Institut für Elektronische Musik Graz (IEM) and gets involved in contemporary music projects with composers such as Beat Furrer and Robin Minard as developer and adviser. After his master thesis at the AKG in Vienna he enters in 1995 the Real-Time Group at IRCAM that he led from 2002 to 2007. He has coordinated and participated in numerous scientific and artistic projects in the domain of computer music and digital audio processing focussing on novel real-time performer-computer-interaction technologies and paradigms. In 2007 he held the DAAD Edgard Varèse Guest Professorship for Electronic Music at Technische Universität Berlin. Since 2008 he focuses on research on mediation technology on the borderline of music listening and performance.

Hélène Colombotti, born 1980 in Rouen, France, studied at the CNR Paris with Frédéric Macarez and at the CNSM Paris with M. Cerutti, F. Jodelet and E. Sammut, where she received the DFS de percussion with distinction. In the same year she began concentrated studies taking advantage of an exchange program with CNSM Lyon, where she worked with J.Geoffroy. Awarded at the "avant scènes" competition in 2004, she was playing the concert"Brume de sable" of composer Graciane Finzi at the Cité de la musique in Paris. Together with her percussion quartet, Ms.Colombotti was awarded with the prize SACEM at the music ensemble competition at Fnapec and at the international competition of the ARD in Munich. She was finalist at the international vibraphone competition in 2005. From 2005 to 2007 she was holding a scholarship from the Mécénat Musical Société Générale. Hélène Colombotti was playing with internationally well-reputed orchestras like the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de Lyon, Ensemble Court-circuit,Ensemble Itinéraire, Ensemble TM+, and the Ensemble Alternance. She was invited as soloist player at the Festival de Pâques de Deauville, and the Festival Musique à l'Empéri, and performed at the Salle Cortot, amphitheater of the Cité de la musique, and in Menneval. In 2004, together with Victoria Harmandjieva, Mara Dobresco and Elisa Humanes, she was performing within the quartet Face-à-face for two pianos and two percussions. Recently, she was getting more and more involved with the Ensemble de musique contemporaine Multilatérale, Atelier lyrique de Haute Normandie, land the ensembles Diagonal and Sillage.
